FAQs

What do you mean by small businesses?

Great question! According to the Small Business Administration, a small business can mean a company with no employees to one with up to five hundred. We specialize in building brand identities for startups or businesses like your local coffee shop, retail boutique, fitness studio, cleaning service, restaurant, and more. We love the fighting spirit of those with 1–10 employees, but if your business doesn’t fit those perimeters, let’s chat.

For events, we’re available for any size.

Do you charge hourly or provide flat rates?

The studio uses a flat rate model. Hourly charges are used beyond the scope of the project. So if we’ve discussed three rounds of edits, and you’d like to do one more round, the additional edits will be charged hourly. However, if you are in need of writing, editing, photography, or illustration by an independent creative with whom we may work, the fees for that particular work will be based on that independent creator’s form of charge.

How do I get started with Design Services?

Go to the Inquire about a Project button located in the upper right corner of each web page and schedule a Discovery Call. After we chat, and if we feel like we’re a good fit, I will send you a proposal which will include costs. Once you accept the proposal, sign the contract, and make the 50% deposit, we can begin work!

I have a project that I needed complete yesterday! Can you help me?

From time to time, we may take on a rush job depending on the project and the fullness
of our production schedule; however, this studio believes in excellent work and a continuous organized process. We focus on outcomes. If you’d like to reach out to see if we can accommodate your project, please contact us.

Do you provide copywriting services?

I can provide minor copywriting services such as naming, taglines, other short lines of text, and editing; however, if you’re in need of more lengthy copy, I collaborate with independent content creators and editors to fulfill your copywriting needs.

Please note that each independent creative has their own schedule, rates, and fees. Collaboration will depend on their availability and whether your project needs align with their areas of specialty.

Why should I hire you when I can do it myself using Canva?

DIY tools like Canva are great for quick designs—but building a brand or creating an impactful event experience takes more than picking fonts and colors. As a professional designer, I bring strategy, visual storytelling, design education, and years of experience to make sure your design not only looks good but works for your goals. I take the time to understand you, your audience, and the bigger picture—something templates and one-off freelancers often can’t deliver. I handle the details that take your project from good to elevating it in a way that the world takes notice and takes your brand seriously.
